BELLEVILLE – A driver is suing over injuries that allegedly occurred when another driver's vehicle collided with his.
Ernie F. Hodge filed the suit April 29 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Jessica L. Beagle.
Hodge was driving westbound on West Washington Street near its intersection with South Belleville Street in Freeburg on May 3, 2014.
Beagle, too, was driving at the same time northbound on South Belleville Street near its intersection with West Washington Street when she allegedly failed to keep her vehicle under proper control, failed to have adequate brakes, failed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign, and failed to reduce her speed. As a result, her vehicle struck Hodge's, causing him bodily injuries, medical expenses, and mental pain and anguish.
Hodge seeks a trial by a jury of six as well as an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Jeanne L. AuBuchon of AuBuchon & Lee LLC in Belleville.
