A Kentucky corporation is suing an Edwardsville man, alleging an unpaid debt.
Spendthrift Farm LLC filed a lawsuit on Dec. 11 in Madison County Circuit Court against Jim Cristel.
According to the suit, Spendthrift entered into 10 contracts with Cristel, but the defendant has not paid for the contracts.
Cristel allegedly owes the plaintiff nearly $76,000, plus interest and collection fees per contract, for a total of $92,644, the suit alleges.
Spendthrif Farm seeks $92,644, plus court costs and attorney fees. The company is represented by attorney Kenneth R. McAvoy of Ottawa.
