Wife alleges health professionals' negligence caused husband's death

BELLEVILLE–An Illinois woman is suing a doctor and health care providers, alleging negligence in her husband's death.

Barbara Tanner, acting as administrator of her husband Bryant Tanner Jr.'s estate, filed a lawsuit Oct. 19 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants, Dr. Paban Saha and St. Elizabeth's Hospital of the Hospital Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis.

According to the complaint, Bryant Tanner Jr. died Jan. 23 after he was admitted to St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville for the treatment of atrial fibrillation.
