Woman sues driver for allegedly causing three-car collision

A motorist is suing the driver of a pick-up truck for injuries allegedly sustained in a double impact car accident.

Michelle Singleton filed a lawsuit on Oct. 19 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Donald Robert and State Farm Mutual Auto Insurance Company for the alleged negligent operation of his vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 23, 2013 the plaintiff was stopped in her vehicle near the Poplar Street Bridge when the defendant's pick up truck allegedly slammed into her rear, pushing plaintiff's vehicle into a car stopped ahead of her.

The plaintiff allegedly injured her leg, knee, head and back as a result of the accident and has reportedly incurred in excess of $39,000, in medical expenses and lost wages. The plaintiff is seeking State Farm insurance to surrender its $250,000 under insurance policy.

Douglas Salsbury of the Miller/Salsbury Law Firm in Eureka, Mo., represents the plaintiff.
