A man is suing the owners of a Worden tavern after he was allegedly punched by another patron.
Nelson Del Valle filed a lawsuit on Oct. 21 against the Grandview Farms Limited Partnership, Tracey Gregg, and Diggers Dugout, Inc., in the Madison County Circuit Court, alleging violation of the Dram Shop Act.
According to the complaint, on Nov. 9, 2014, the plaintiff was a guest at Diggers Dugout in Worden when an allegedly intoxicated tavern customer, Charles Conlee, punched him, breaking his jaw, cheek and face.
The plaintiff is seeking in excess of $50,000, plus costs of litigation.
The plaintiff is represented by Michael P. Glisson of Williamson, Webster, Falb and Glisson of Alton.
