A Madison County resident is suing a motorist for injuries she allegedly sustained in a car accident while riding as a passenger.

Hayley J. Oller of Troy, a minor, by and through her mother Kari Oller, filed a lawsuit on Sept. 28 in Madison County Circuit Court against Monica K. Jenkins, also of Troy, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on July 1, 2014, Hayley Oller was a front-seat passenger in a vehicle being operated by Jenkins traveling northbound on Stevenson Road in Lebanon. The suit states Jenkins carelessly drove at an excessive speed and caused the vehicle to go out control, leave the roadway and roll over many times.

Hayley Oller was allegedly pinned under the car's dash, causing her to suffer severe and permanent injuries to numerous parts of her body, the suit states.

Oller seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus court costs. She is represented by attorney William L. Wimmer of Belleville.

Madison County Circuit Court case number 15-L-1244.
