A Madison County couple is accused of not making payments on a loan with a balance of more than $52,000.
Citifinancial Servicing LLC, as assignee of Citifinancial Services Inc., filed a lawsuit Nov. 8 in Madison County Circuit Court against Michelle and Timothy Smith.
According to the complaint, the Smiths took out a loan with Citifinancial in March 2008 but have failed to make monthly payments as required by the agreement. Citifinancial claims more than $52,000 is still owed on the loan and asks for a judgement of the balance plus court fees.
The bank is represented by attorney J. Gregory Scott of Decatur.
