Madison County sign company sued over alleged debt

A Madison County sign company is accused of owing more than $100,000 for materials from a lighting company.

Cool City Lights LLC filed a lawsuit Oct. 30 in Madison County Circuit Court against Midwest Sunray Lighting & Sign Maintenance Company Inc.

According to the complaint, Cool City Lights sold more than $225,000 in lighting materials and components to Midwest Sunray between December 2012 and Aug. 19. Cool City Lights claims Midwest Sunray has only paid about $121,000 of its balance and still owes more than $103,000. The lighting company says the unpaid balance is more than 30 day past due.

Cool City Lights asks for a judgment of what it is allegedly owed plus interest and costs of the lawsuit.

It is represented by attorney Glen E. Bradford of Edwardsville.
