A St. Clair County man is suing the driver of a car that allegedly crossed the center line and crashed into his.
James R. Kupinski filed a lawsuit against Billie J. Rettig Oct. 10 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.Kupinski says he was driving north on Third Street in East St. Louis in December 2011. At the same time, Rettig was driving south on Third Street, according to the complaint. Rettig allegedly crossed into the northbound lane and crashed into the front of Kupinski's car.Kupinski accuses Rettig of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses, lost wages and court costs.Attorney Gregory M. Tobin of East Alton represents Kupinksi.
