A Madison County man is suing the driver of a car that allegedly rear-ended him in Fort Russell.
Benjamin Dorrington filed a lawsuit against Charles E. Monahan Oct. 17 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Dorrington says crash happened in May while he was driving north on Illinois Route 159. He says he had just passed the intersection of Cedar Ridge Lane when he was hit from behind by a car driven by Monahan.
Dorrington accuses Monahan of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses, lost wages and court fees.
Attorney John H. Hustava of Collinsville represents Dorrington.
