A St. Clair County man says he was hurt when another driver crashed into him in Caseyville.
Cory Renner filed a lawsuit Oct. 5 against Richard Gerlach in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
The alleged crash happened as Renner was driving on Illinois Route 157 in October 2010, according to the petition. At the same time, Renner says, Gerlach was driving on Tucker Drive. Renner alleges Gerlach failed to yield, entered the intersection and crashed into him. He accuses Gerlach of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses, lost wages and court fees.
