St. Louis-based Weiss Attorneys tapping online marketing

ST. LOUIS - St. Louis-based Weiss Attorneys at Law, formerly Weiss & Associates, is utilizing online marketing and other social media tools in the field of law.

The firm just launched its updated graphic identity, which has been designed to reflect its growth and highlight future development opportunities.

"The method of doing business today in the field of law has changed considerably," said managing officer David Weiss.

"There is a growing need for law firms to expand their online presence and integrate social media into their marketing programs. Our results are dramatic, resulting in several inquiries per week by phone and/or email where their initial contact source has been the Internet. In fact, 40 percent or more of the leads that we can actually track are now coming from the Internet."

For more than nine years, Weiss Attorneys at Law has been turning one-way communications, such as brochures, press releases and direct mail, into an interactive dialogue that engages the online audience.

The firm now utilizes an online newsletter addressing legal and some non-legal issues; a dynamic website that is optimized for search engines; a blog that covers multiple practice areas; Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages; and they have just launched a YouTube channel.

The firm repositioned the Weiss "brand" to Weiss Attorneys at Law, updated its brand identity with an enhanced logo and new brand positioning.

The new tag line, "Big Firm Experience, Small Firm Accountability," embodies the firm's continuing mission to deliver big firm representation with small firm, attentive service.

The new identity is incorporated into all of the company's materials, its digital platforms and its office environment. Along with the rebrand, the firm's e-newsletter was upgraded with a new design, and the blog and social media links were incorporated into a more dynamic website design at www.weisslawstl.com.

"For lawyers, an important aspect of online marketing is reaching potential clients whether they are looking for information about legal issues, products and services; holding conversations about trends; or looking up hot topics and general information," Weiss said. "It's an opportunity to connect with them and helps establish a relationship.

"Internet technologies, including social media sites, provide the tools and platforms to make this easier."
