Foreclosure notice filed against another chiropractor who led 15 Madison County class actions
Another Granite City chiropractor who has been a lead plaintiff in multiple Madison County class action lawsuits has had a property he owns go into foreclosure proceedings.
Bank of America filed a foreclosure claim against chiropractor Lawrence A. Shipley and Laura Shipley on May 18 in Madison County Circuit Court.
The complaint states that the unpaid principal balance for a 925 square foot home located at 2510 Pontoon Beach Rd. in Granite City is $89,162.69.
Lawrence Shipley has been lead plaintiff in at least 15 class action suits against various insurers alleging they wrongly reduced reimbursements on medical claims.
Days before Bank of America sued the Shipleys, Regions Bank filed a foreclosure complaint against Granite City chiropractor Mark Eavenson and Barbara Eavenson claiming it is owed $973,803.32 for a property at 2009 Golf Course View Dr. in Edwardsville.
Eavenson was lead plaintiff in at least 24 similar reduced benefit class action suits against insurers.
Both Shipley and Eavenson were represented by the Lakin firm. Most of the cases they were involved in were filed in 2003, and most settled
