Laboratory Corp. sues Fairview Heights business owner

Richmond

A laboratory has filed suit against the Fairview Heights business owner who it claims failed to pay it more than $200,000 for services it performed.

Laboratory Corporation of America formerly known as National Health Laboratories claims it rendered medical laboratory services to defendant Ben Bequette doing business as QL Group. The services cost $205,481.98, according to the complaint filed Feb. 7 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

Although it has requested payment numerous times, Laboratory Corporation of America still has not received money from Bequette, the suit states.

In addition to the money it says it is owed, Laboratory Corporation of America is seeking costs and other relief the court deems just.

It will be represented by Scott G. Richmond of Ariano, Hardy, Ritt, Nyuli, Richmond, Lytle and Goettel in South Elgin.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 12-L-72.
