A woman claims she sustained various injuries after a driver rear-ended her vehicle.
Lisa R. Guetterman filed a lawsuit Jan. 3 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Taylor W. MacDonald.
In her complaint, Guetterman alleges she drove north on Troy Road near its intersection with Goshen in Edwardsville on July 2, 2011, when MacDonald, who was driving in the same direction, struck her vehicle.
In addition to her injuries, Guetterman experienced pain and permanent disability and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint.
She blames MacDonald for causing the collision, saying MacDonald negligently drove too fast, drove too close to the back of Guetterman's vehicle, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to stop or swerve to avoid a collision.
In her complaint, Guetterman seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
