A woman claims she sustained neck, back and hip injuries after a driver struck her vehicle.
Sandra R. Czerny filed a lawsuit Dec. 9 in Madison County Circuit Court against Dennis P. Muscarella.
In her complaint, Czerny alleges she drove south on Alby Street in Alton on Dec. 3, 2010, at about 1:08 p.m. when Muscarella, who was also driving south, struck her vehicle.
In addition to her injuries, Czerny incurred medical costs, was hindered from attending to her normal duties and lost money because of the collision, according to the complaint.
Czerny blames Muscarella for causing the collision, saying he negligently failed to reduce his speed to avoid a collision, failed to keep his vehicle under control and failed to keep a proper lookout, the suit states.
Czerny is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
