A Madison County woman wants her insurance company to pay for an under-insured motorist claim.

Judith Belshee filed a lawsuit against Allstate Insurance Company on Nov. 4 in Madison County Circuit Court.

Belshee says she was involved in a car crash in November 2009 with a driver who had a $20,000 policy limit.

Belshee claims Allstate provided under-insured motorist coverage on the car she was driving but has refused to pay.

Belshee is asking the court to order arbitration on her claim and to award damages according to Illinois' Uniform Arbitration Act.

Attorney Thomas W. Burkart of Hamel is representing Belshee.
