A Madison County woman says she was hurt when she was hit by another driver who allegedly ran a red light.
Denise Cann filed a lawsuit Oct. 21 in Madison County Circuit Court against Jeffrey Welch.
According to the complaint, Cann was driving east on Grand Avenue in the city of Madison on May 6. As she crossed the intersection of Madison Avenue, Cann claims Welch, driving south on Madison Avenue, failed to stop at the red light and crashed into her.
Cann accuses Welch of negligence and seeks more than $50,000 in damages for medical bills, lost wages and court fees. She is represented by attorney John H. Hustava of Collinsville.
