A Madison County woman says she was hurt when she was allegedly rear-ended while driving in Troy.
Helen Scogin filed a lawsuit against John Franquemont Oct. 25 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Scogin says she was driving east on Highway 162 near Riggan Road on June 30. While she was stopped behind another car that was waiting to turn left into a gas station, Scogin claims she was hit from behind by Franquemont.
Scogin accuses Franquemont of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses along with court costs.
Scogin is represented by attorney Brian M. Wendler of Edwardsville.
