A St. Clair County woman says she was attacked by two allegedly drunk women inside a Caseyville bar.

Cindy J. Davis filed a lawsuit Sept. 29 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Jessi's Hideout, Tammy L. Bova and Candi M. Eaves.

Davis says she was a patron of Jessi's Hideout on April 6. She says Bova and Eaves were also at the Main Street bar. Davis alleges Bova and Eaves became intoxicated and, without provocation, punched her in the face, knocked her to the ground and kicked her repeatedly. Davis says she received multiple injuries as a result of the altercation.

Davis accuses Bova and Eaves of battery. She also claims Jessi's Hideout violated Illinois's Dram Shop Act by providing too much alcohol to Bova and Eaves. She contends that makes the bar liable for her alleged injuries.

Davis is asking for more than $150,000 in damages for medical bills and court costs.

She is represented by attorney Lanny Darr of the Schrempf, Kelly, Napp & Darr law firm in Alton.
