A St. Clair County man is suing the driver of a car he says crashed into him while he was stopped at a red light in Belleville.
Lawrence Stubblefield filed the lawsuit Sept. 12 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Ryan E. Beck.
Stubblefield says he was stopped at the intersection of Illinois Route 161 and Illinois Route 158 on July 13. Stubblefield claims Beck, driving east on Route 161, rear-ended him.
Stubblefield accuses the defendant of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical bills and lost wages in addition to court fees.
