A Madison County couple is suing the driver of the car that allegedly rear-ended them.
Mark and Danettea McGlawn filed a lawsuit against Mary Viviano Aug. 10 in Madison County Circuit Court.
According to the complaint, the McGlawns were driving on Horseshoe Lake Road in October 2010. As they approached the intersection of Illinois 157, the couple says the vehicle they were in was hit from behind by a car being driven by Viviano.
The McGlawns say the crash caused multiple injuries to both of them. They say treatment for those injuries cost $9,000.
The McGlawns accuse Viviano of negligence and ask the driver to reimburse them for their medical bills and court costs.
Attorney Scott L. Kolker of Clayton, Mo. is representing the McGlawns. They ask for a jury trial.
