The Madison County Record May 25, 2011, 8:43am

A woman's suit over an attack by a St. Bernard that she claims left her face mangled is over.

The parties signed a stipulation announcing the case settled May 2 in St. Clair County.

The terms of the settlement between plaintiff Erica Karbowiak and Allen Vogt were not included in the stipulation or case filings.

Karbowiak alleges that Vogt's dog, Bandit, attacked her, lacerating and injuring her face when she was working in Belleville in May 2009.

She claims that Vogt failed to restrain the St. Bernard and that she has been forced to undergo medical procedures to repair the damage to her face.

The plaintiff sought damages in excess of $100,000 and other relief.

Kenneth Vuylsteke represents the plaintiff.

Martin Clay represents Vogt.

St. Clair County Circuit Judge Lloyd Cueto presides.

The case is St. Clair case number 10-L-252.
