Romanucci

The family of Sheri Coleman will file a wrongful death lawsuit against her husband, Christopher Coleman, and his employer, Joyce Meyer Ministries, on her behalf and that of her two deceased children, Garrett and Gavin Coleman.

Attorney Anthony Romanucci of Chicago and Jack Carey of Belleville will file the suit in Monroe County Circuit Court this afternoon, according to a press release sent out by the plaintiffs' attorneys Wednesday afternoon.

Christopher Coleman is currently on trial for the murder of his wife and sons in Monroe County.

He is accused of killing his family in order to keep his job as security chief for Joyce Meyer Ministries and in order to avoid a divorce due to his relationship with another woman.

According to the release, Sheri Coleman's family claims that Joyce Meyer Ministries should have known Christopher Coleman was a threat to his family and that the murders were preventable.

The press release indicates that Sheri Coleman's family, including her mother Angela DeCicco, will seek damages for loss of love, companionship, consortium, funeral and burial expenses.

A press conference is planned following the suit's filing at the Monroe County Courthouse in Waterloo at 4 p.m.
