A Madison County man is suing the County's transit authority after he allegedly slipped on the wet floor of a bus.
Mortellis Huddleston filed a lawsuit April 12 in Madison County Circuit Court against Madison County Transit. The unidentifed bus driver is also listed as a defendant.
According to the complaint, Huddleston was a passenger on the bus in April 2009. He claims the vehicle's air conditioner was dripping water onto the floor and made it slippery. Huddleston says he slipped on the wet floor and hurt himself.
Huddleston accuses Madison County Transit and the bus driver of negligence. He asks for more than $100,000 in damages for medical expenses, loss of income and court costs.
Huddleston is represented by attorney Michael E. Reid of Edwardsville.
