There has been no action in a suit brought against two ATV riders who allegedly injured a Department of Natural Resources while riding illegally on the grounds of Cahokia Mounds.
The last action in the case brought by the Illinois Department of Central Management Services was when the department served requests to admit upon defendants Eric Robinson and Megan Wieseman in January.
The state is seeking to recover $137,000 it spent in workers' compensation after the pair allegedly hit Officer William Wichern with their ATV in June 2008.
The state claims that the defendants were riding illegally on the grounds of the historic site, ignored directions by Wichern to halt and then hit him.
The defendants appeared on their own behalves at a hearing last year.
However, the case file does not indicate whether the pair has retained representation or if
they have filed answers to the state's claims.
