A St. Clair County woman is suing the driver of a car that allegedly rear-ended her.
Tracy Spengler filed the lawsuit in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Rachel L. Wellinghoff.
Spengler says she was a passenger in a car driving west on Interstate 64 in October 2010. As the driver stopped for road construction in St. Clair County, Spengler says the vehicle was hit from behind by a car driven by Wellinghoff.
Spengler claims her hip was broken in the crash, among other injuries.
Spengler accuses Wellinghoff of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses, loss of income and court costs.
Spengler is represented by attorney David Cates of Swansea.
