A woman's suit against Avon over a bath gel that allegedly caused rectal bleeding is over.
Madison County Circuit Judge Dennis Ruth signed the order Jan. 12 dismissing the case brought by plaintiff Darlene Fisher.
The parties filed the paperwork to dismiss the case two days earlier. Each party is to bear its own costs.
Darlene Fisher filed suit against Avon Products Inc., Avon Products, Avon Services Center Inc. Avon Americans Ltd., Avon Manufacturing Inc. and Ann Fisher two years ago.
Darlene Fisher claims that after she used Avon's Skin So Soft shower gel, she suffered a severe allergic reaction that caused, among other symptoms, rectal bleeding.
Her suit sought damages in excess of $200,000, attorney's fees and costs.
Susan Schwartzkopf represented Darlene Fisher.
Steven Sanders represented the defendants.
The case is Madison case number 09-L-394.
