Belleville Taco Bell sued over woman's slip

A St. Clair County woman is suing the owners of a Belleville fast food restaurant after she allegedly slipped and fell near the front counter.

Malecean White filed the lawsuit against the Taco Bell Corporation Dec. 9 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

According to the complaint, White was visiting the Taco Bell restaurant in Belleville when she slipped on a small pool of water as she approached the front counter. White says she hurt her neck, back and shoulders during the fell.

White is suing the restaurant for negligence and asks for more than $50,000 to compensate for medical costs, lost wages and court fees.
