A car passenger was injured when his vehicle was struck by a truck on Greenmount Road.
Melvin R. Kimbrell filed a recent lawsuit in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Kary J. Brown.
Kimbrell was a passenger in a car traveling north on Greenmount Road near the intersection with the Frank Scott Parkway in Shiloh. He says the truck was also heading north when it collided into the rear end of Kimbrell' s vehicle.
He blames the truck operator Brown for failing to stop or swerve to avoid the collision, driving at a speed greater than reasonable and not keeping a proper lookout. He further blames Brown for not maintaining adequate brakes and failing to stop or yield the right of way.
Kimbrell says the collision resulted in severe and permanent injuries and pain and anguish.
In his complaint, Kimbrell seeks more than $50,000 plus costs.
