Mallon
Wood River attorney Lance R. Mallon, 61, died today following a battle with lung cancer.
He is a former president of the Madison County Bar Association.
Since he started his law career in 1974, Mallon practiced exclusively for injured persons, his website states.
Mallon was born in Chicago on Feb. 22, 1949. He graduated from Northern University with a bachelor of arts degree in 1970 and also attended DePaul University. He received his juris doctor from the University of Illinois in 1974.
He was an artist, both in oil and watercolor, and a photographer.
He handled injury cases from automobile collisions, construction injuries, falls, products liability, wrongful death, dram shop, maritime and railroad injuries, and medical and legal malpractice claims among other.
