A man claims serious injuries after a pick-up driver backing out of a garage ran into him.
Randy L. Clendenny filed a lawsuit Oct. 29 in Madison County Circuit Court against George T. Young.
He says Young was backing out of his garage in his pick-up truck when he collided with Clendenny, injuring him seriously.
Clendenny claims Young was negligent in failing to reduce his speed to a reasonable rate, failing to brake adequately and not steering to avoid the collision. He also says Young did not keep a proper lookout.
The defendant says he suffered injuries to his lower back and hips and incurred significant medical costs.
He claims pain and suffering, lost wages and loss of future earning capacity.
In his complaint, Clendenny seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs.
