A credit card company has filed suit against the man who it claims failed to pay more than $50,000 in debt.

Cavalry Portfolio Services claims it extended a line of credit to defendant Nicholas Jakich.

Jakich racked up a $52,381.67 bill, but has failed to repay the credit card company, according to the complaint filed June 1 in Madison County Circuit Court.

In addition to the money it says it is owed, Cavalry is seeking court costs.

It will be represented by The Schindler Law Firm in Schaumburg.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-576.
