A woman claims she sustained injuries to her neck and back after falling on a wet floor at McDonald's.
Ruth Postelle filed a lawsuit Feb. 3 in Madison County Circuit Court against Bold Enterprise.
Postelle claims she visited McDonald's on April 27, 2008, where a Bold Enterprise employee was mopping the floor.
"Plaintiff was walking into the restroom of said McDonald's Restaurant, when she was caused to, and did slip and fall with great force and violence, thereby greatly injuring herself," the suit states.
In addition to her neck and back injuries, Postelle suffered great physical pain and mental anguish, will be unable to perform her normal activities and endured disability and loss of a normal life, the complaint says. She also claims she suffered disfigurement.
She blames Bold Enterprise for causing her fall, saying the company's employee failed to place caution signs in the area, failed to dry mop the area after mopping and failed to keep the restaurant in a safe condition.
In her two-count suit, Postelle seeks a judgment of more than $100,000, plus costs.
