A man claims he was disabled and disfigured after a driver rear-ended him.
Michael J. Davis filed a lawsuit Nov. 4 in Madison County Circuit Court against Gary Moore.
Davis claims he was driving south on Lake Drive in Pontoon Beach on May 2 when Moore, who was driving in the same direction, struck the back of his vehicle.
In addition to his disability and disfigurement, Davis suffered great pain and mental anguish, lost earnings, incurred medical costs and experienced a seriously diminished earning capacity, the suit states.
Davis blames Moore for failing to keep a proper lookout, for driving in such a way that he struck the rear of Davis' vehicle, for failing to properly apply his brakes, for failing to reduce his speed to avoid an accident and for driving in an unsafe manner.
Davis is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs and other relief the court deems just.
