Collinsville city council woman Lisa Ciampoli has filed election papers to run for Madison County Board in District 25. The distric includes the northern part of Collinsville and the Arlington/Pontoon Beach areas east of Granite City.
Ciampoli said she is running on a record of fiscal responsibility.
As a county board member she said her major goal would be to develop a plan for bringing high paying jobs to Madison County.
"The county has lost too many high paying union jobs over the last few years," she said in his announcement.
"I will continue to serve the remainder of my term on the City Council of Collinsville, with the same dedication I have shown for the citizens of Collinsville over the last few years," she said.
