To the editor:

When a doctor scratches "WNL" in a medical record, it usually seems to stand for "within normal limits."

Yet according to mediLexicon's website, the letters can also stand for "we never looked" and "we need lawyer."

I pity the patient whose doctor writes: "We thought his pulse was WNL, but WNL, so WNL."
