Aleatha D. Riddlespriger is suing Denise M. McClintock, claiming she received severe and permanent injuries after McClintock collided with her.

Riddlespriger filed her lawsuit June 15 in Madison County Circuit Court.

Riddlespriger says she was driving west on Union School Road in Alton near its intersection with Humbert Road on July 3, 2007, when McClintock, who was driving east on Union School Road, attempted to make a left turn and collided with Riddlspriger instead.

Because of the accident, Riddlespriger incurred medical costs, lost large sums of money she would have earned and endured past pain and suffering, which will continue into the future, according to the complaint.

McClintock failed to yield the right-of-way, drove too fast for the road conditions, failed to reduce her speed and failed to keep a lookout for other vehicles on the road, the suit states.

Riddlespriger is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
Robert D. Larson of Alton will be representing her.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 09-L-631.
