Laura L. Rose has filed suit against a Troy couple on behalf of her minor son, alleging her son was severely injured after a dog bit him while he was at the couple's property.

Regan L. Rose was visiting Ty and Jamie Duncan at their house at 311 E. Market Street when their dog, without warning or provocation, attacked, bit and jumped on him, according to the complaint filed Jan. 8 in Madison County Circuit Court.

Because of the attack, Regan Rose sustained permanent injuries to his face and neck, was hindered and prevented from attending to his usual duties and affairs and lost value of his time, the suit states.

He also claims he suffered great pain and anguish, both physically and mentally, and incurred substantial medical expenses.

Regan Rose is seeking a judgment in excess of $75,000, plus costs.

Bob L. Perica of The Perica Law Firm in Wood River will be representing him.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 09-L-0011.
