Ronald Madlock Jr. has filed suit against Deborah Lovekamp, alleging his neck, shoulder and low back were injured after a collision.

Madlock was driving west on Lavelle Drive at its intersection with Troy Road in Edwardsville on Oct. 27 when Lovekamp, who was driving north on Troy Road at the same intersection, struck the side of his vehicle, according to the complaint filed Dec. 19 in Madison County Circuit Court.

In addition to his injuries, Madlock was made sick, sore, lame, disordered and disabled, incurred medical expenses and suffered disability, the suit states.

He also claims he experienced pain and suffering and lost money because of a loss of wages.

Lovekamp was negligent because she failed to keep a proper lookout, drove her car so it struck the side of Madlock's, failed to properly apply her brakes, drove too fast, failed to obey a traffic signal and entered the intersection when facing a red traffic signal, according to the complaint.

Madlock is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs.

Thomas C. Rich and Jennifer L. Barbieri of Fairview Heights will be representing him.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 08-L-1199.
