Pedestrian on interstate sues motorist over injuries

An O'Fallon man has filed suit against a woman, alleging his head, face, neck, shoulder, back, legs and body were injured after she hit him with her vehicle as he was walking down the road.

Bradley Titze was walking east on the right shoulder of Interstate 64 near the intersection of mile post 8 on Aug. 7 when Amy Nmi Ndiaye, who was driving west on the interstate, struck him, according to the complaint filed Dec. 18 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

In addition to his injuries, Titze suffered great pain and mental anguish, incurred medical expenses and lost large sums of money because of his inability to pursue his normal employment, the suit states.

Titze claims Ndiaye was negligent by failing to keep her vehicle under proper control, by failing to keep a proper lookout and by driving too fast.

Titze is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs.

He is represented by Bruce R. Cook of Cook, Ysursa, Bartholomew, Brauer and Shevlin.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 08-L-644.
