Norfolk Southern dock worker files FELA complaint
James McDaniels, a 41-year veteran employee of Norfolk Southern Railway, has filed a Federal Employers' Liability Act suit in Madison County Circuit Court.
McDaniels, who was a dock worker from 1966 through 2007, claims he was injured when he was subjected to numerous repetitive traumas while loading and unloading material.
He claims the railroad failed to provide him safe and suitable tools and failed to furnish him with proper equipment, among other things.
McDaniels is represented by Gregory Tobin of Pratt and Tobin in East Alton.
He is seeking in excess of $50,000 in damages, according to the complaint filed Nov. 13.
