Pamela C. Woods has filed a suit against Corine M. Hamilton, alleging she was injured after her vehicle and Hamilton's collided.
Woods claims she was driving west on West Highway 50 in O'Fallon and was approaching an intersection with North Green Mount Road on July 30, according to the complaint filed Sept. 3 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Hamilton was also driving west on the same road and her vehicle collided with Woods's, the suit states.
Woods claims she sustained injuries to various parts of her body and will suffer pain and permanent disability from them.
She has incurred medical costs as a result of her injuries, according to the complaint.
She alleges Hamilton was negligent because she drove too closely to the rear of Woods's automobile, failed to keep a proper lookout ahead and failed to stop, slow down, swerve or otherwise avoid colliding with Woods's car.
Woods is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000.
