Michael Meehan is suing Alicia Self for an accident that took place on South Greenmount Road and Weatherstone Drive in Belleville nearly two years ago.
According to the complaint filed Aug. 18 in St. Clair County Circuit Court, Self struck the rear of Meehan's vehicle on Aug. 24, 2006, which caused his vehicle to rear-end the one in front of him.
Meehan claims Self failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to give an audible warning, and failed to reduce her speed or stop or swerve.
He is seeking in excess of $50,000 in damages for neck, back and leg injuries.
