Betty Cowan of Belleville is suing Vantage Credit Union of East St. Louis for failing to repair a dangerous condition on its property.
Cowan claims she fractured her right ankle after stepping off an uneven surface on a paved area on May 11, 2006, according to a lawsuit filed Dec. 7 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Represented by Kirk A. Caponi of Williams, Caponi & Associates of Belleville, Cowan is seeking in excess of $50,000 in damages.
Among other things, Cowan claims she experience pain and suffering, expended money for medical care and suffered a disability.
