Fischer's
Fischer's Restaurant in Belleville and West Park Bowl in Columbia are being sued by a passenger in a vehicle that "violently crashed" on North Belt West in Belleville on Jan. 16.
Kelly Bay filed a Dram Shop suit in St. Clair County Circuit Court on Nov. 7. Bay, who claims neck, back and hand injuries, also named the driver of the vehicle Robert A. Phegley.
Bay, represented by Kevin M. Doyle of The Rex Carr Law Firm in East St. Louis, claims Phegley "negligently and carelessly operated his vehicle under the influence of alcohol," and failed to avoid a collision.
West Park Bowl and Fischer's allegedly sold intoxicating liquors to Phegley, which after consumed, caused him to become intoxicated.
Bay is seeking in excess of $150,000 in damages.
