Throughout the difficult rain, heat and confusion of last summer's massive storms, Gateway Regional Medical Center, without hesitation or reservation, served proudly as a valuable community resource and place of refuge for hundreds of Madison County residents.
Our employees acted honorably under extremely challenging conditions, and we are proud of the care they delivered to our community in a time of need.
We are greatly disappointed to learn of allegations recently made by a former employee concerning our actions during and following the storm.
We are confident that hospital records will clearly reveal our employees acted not only with compassion and professionalism, but also lawfully and in full compliance with our regulatory obligations.
