Jeremy Smith claims he was beaten on his head, thrown onto a concrete floor and then blacked out in a lawsuit against his alleged assailant, Casey Baugh.
Smith filed the complaint Aug. 28 in St. Clair County Circuit Court alleging the attack took place in the washrack area of the Auffenberg Auto Mall in O'Fallon on Feb. 21.
Represented by Michael J. Brunton of Collinsville, Smith is seeking in excess of $150,000 in damages.
He claims he suffered extensive head, face, body, trunk and limb injuries, lost wages, incurred medical expenses and sustained a loss of normal life.
According to the complaint, Baugh's attack was willful and wanton.
