Taxi cab passenger Ellen Teague has filed a personal injury lawsuit against Liberty Cab and its driver in Madison County Circuit Court on June 21.
Seeking in excess of $100,000 in damages, Teague claims that on Jan. 14, 2005, driver Claude Beck collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Joesting and Washington in Alton, while she was a passenger.
Teague also claims Beck negligently and carelessly operated his vehicle, drove too fast and failed to keep a proper lookout for other motor vehicles.
According to Teague, the collision caused injuries to her right shoulder and head, pain and suffering, disability, medical expenses, lost wages and a diminution of earning capacity.
Teague is represented by Lance Mallon of Wood River.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Lola Maddox.
