Lakin Law Firm attorney Gary Peel is suing his daughter Jennifer E. Cullen of Maryville for assault and battery.
Peel is seeking $10,000 from Cullen, alleging she caused a facial laceration which required medical treatment.
The small claims complaint states the assault took place at 2017 Golf Course View Dr. in Edwardsville, a home Peel and his former wife Deborah J. Peel used to own.
The complaint does not indicate when the incident took place.
Cullen could not be reached for comment.
Peel filed the complaint in Madison County Jan. 20, the same date he filed suit against his ex wife, son David Peel, the Record newspaper and its reporter Steve Korris. Peel alleges the Record printed private facts contained in an "uncorrected" transcript of a bankruptcy examination involving Gary Peel.
